Open-access research from Sunnyday Technologies
Methodology papers, whitepapers, datasets, and the open-source tooling that produces them. Where possible the work is self-hosted here and mirrored on Zenodo with concept DOIs for citation.
Convergence Engineering
Commissioning autonomous software by measuring the rate at which novel failures trend toward zero. A methodology paper introducing “time to silence” as the metric for the commissioning phase of autonomous software systems. CC BY 4.0 preprint, v1.0 deposited on Zenodo.
Convergence Engineering v1.0
Sonnentag, N. (2026). The full whitepaper, open-access, with figures and references inline. Cite as Concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19863080.
DOI · ZenodoConcept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19863080

Pinned version of the v1.0 archive. Use this when you need a stable reference to a specific version rather than “latest”.
Open releases
The hardware, the schema, and the validation tooling that the methodology rests on. All three have Zenodo concept DOIs for stable citation.
M3-CRETE
Pallet-scale open-source 3D concrete printer. CERN-OHL-W-2.0. Source CAD, BOMs, firmware, build documentation.
Open dataset / schemaOpen3DCP
Open schema for 3D concrete printing mix-design and test records. Apache-2.0. Public v1.5 schema with Zenodo DOI and Sunn3D whitepaper.
Open softwareCADCLAW
Pytest-style validation framework for CAD assemblies. MIT-licensed Python on PyPI. The CAD-validation tooling behind M3-CRETE.
Current and forthcoming papers
Published whitepapers and manuscripts in preparation. Published work is linked directly; in-preparation manuscripts remain listed for collaboration and review-copy access.

Self-Verifying LLM-Driven Parametric CAD Assemblies
Lessons from a meter-scale concrete 3D printer. Documents the AI-driven CAD pipeline behind M3-CRETE, the role of CADCLAW validation gates, and the iterative feedback loop between Claude-driven CAD and physical assembly.

Open3DCP: A Public Data Schema for Performance-Based 3D Concrete Printing Records
The public v1.5 whitepaper explains Open3DCP as a performance-based reporting schema for 3DCP composition, process parameters, specimen/test context, measured properties, and provenance.
